Regulators & Kit

Always remember that a regulator is life support equipment and must be maintained to perform as such. Servicing by trained personnel is recommended by all regulator manufacturers on an annual basis. If your equipment is subject to heavy, or prolonged regular use, then an intermediate or active service is also recommended to maintain a peak working condition.

O2 Servicing
|
| Regulators and cylinders can be oxygen cleaned and prepared for use with enriched gases; e.g. use of oxygen safe lubricants and 'o' rings. O2 servicing kits are not always available from every manufacturer. |

| Manufacturers Full Service |
Recommended service kits supplied by manufacturers (where available). A full strip down and rebuild of equipment replacing both active and static parts as recommended by the manufacturer. Removal of salt and oxidation in an ultrasonic bath.

|
A full strip down and rebuild of equipment. Salt and oxidation removal in an ultrasonic bath. Every active and static part inspected, but only replaced if outside the manufacturers specifications.

| Cylinder Testing |
|
From the date of manufacture cylinders require a Visual test after 2.5 years. Tested cylinders are stamped with the appropriate date (check your date now!). From this date the cylinders require a hydro-static test after a further 2.5 years; this process is ongoing in a 2.5 year cycle.
Cylinders of a size less than 1 litre do not require a test, but care and maintenance is required at the owners discretion (remember that these also fill to 232 bar!).
