There are over 15,000 wrecks in UK waters, but only those deemed a hazard to navigation will appear on an Admiralty Chart.

Meridian's UK Wrecks application allows the user to access all 15,000 wrecks of which over 9,000 are named.  There is also information about possible seabed obstructions.  The database is comprehensive, constantly updated and is particulary useful for divers, fisherman and historians.  A wreck reporting system is included to help enhance the database. 

Additional information about a wreck including date sunk, cargo and reason for sinking is only a click away.  All positions are given in WGS84 so the data can be used in conjunction with a chart plotter or a GPS receiver. 

UK Wrecks has been derived in part from material obtained from the UK Hydrographic Office. 

This product is fully supported on Windows XP, Vista and 7.
